Gig/ competition experience: Just the usual SYF, school concerts and public performances - typical of any student from a guitar ensemble

How did you get acquainted with guitar playing?
I started to learn the guitar in secondary 1 when I joined my school's guitar ensemble. Back then, I didn't know much about guitar ensemble music and I was just keen on learning chords so I could strum and sing.
However, I gradually developed a strong passion towards playing in an ensemble and I'm still pursuing this interest as a member of NUS Guitar Ensemble!
It's really a lot of fun playing alongside other passionate peers and understanding how the different sections of an ensemble blend together to create good music.
Describe your first experience playing on a guitar.
Back in secondary 1:
"Oh no, my hands are too small!"
"My fingertips hurt and I can't press on the strings properly"
"How do people even manage to play bar chords?!"
What is the best thing about being a guitarist?
I think it's relatively easier to learn as compared to other instruments; just know a few chord positions and you can strum and sing along to basic pop songs :) With that, you can also have fun jamming with your friends.
How many guitars do you currently own?
Two Maestro prime classical guitars.
First song you learned to play on guitar: I think it was Ode to Joy (everyone starts with that right hahaha), and my first ensemble piece was The Entertainer.
Song you love to play most on guitar: I don't have a particular song that I really enjoy; I just love playing in an ensemble with my fellow peers. :)
Most difficult song you have played on guitar: Hahaha all the solo pieces which I have attempted to play.
